April 2021

JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in him by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, proclaimed April 18 through April 24, 2021, as National Volunteer Week.

 

The Coronel-Endaya Foundation is so humbled to have Dr. Maria-Kassandra Endaya Coronel, Mia-Kyla Endaya Coronel, Marisa Endaya Coronel and Tomas Eleazar Coronel be recognized for their commitment to strengthen communities through their service, and be bestowed by President Joseph R. Biden with the President's Volunteer Service Award -- the highest civil award for volunteerism in the United States of America, on April 19, 2021.

May 2021

Mr. Tomas Eleazer Coronel & Mrs. Marisa Endaya Coronel, citizens of Murrieta for more than twenty years, were officially recognized during AAPI Heritage Month on May 20, 2021 by Murrieta Mayor Scott Vinton for their time and dedication to the Coronel-Endaya Foundation.

On May 25, 2021, the Coronel-Endaya Foundation was honored to receive a Certificate of Recognition from Temecula Mayor Maryann Edwards, for embodying the "Temecula Cares" approach through its generosity and dedicated service to community.

On July 24, 2021, the Coronel-Endaya Foundation was awarded with a Top-Rated 2021 Nonprofit Award (Philanthropy) from GreatNonprofits.

At the time of awarding, only 439 nonprofits from across the United States of America received a nomination for this award; only 59 were registered in the State of California, of which only 3 were labeled as "Philanthropy" and only 4 (regardless of label) were nominated from the City of Temecula, CA.*

​

*In the year 2020, 2430 nonprofits were nominated across the USA, 404 of which were from California, 21 of these Californian based nonprofits were labeled as "Philanthropy", and 3 total (regardless of label) were from Temecula, California.

On July 28, 2021, the Coronel-Endaya Foundation was awarded with a Certificate of Recognition from the State of California Senate, signed by Senator Melissa Melendez, in honor of our One-Year Incorporation Anniversary.

On July 28, 2021, the Coronel-Endaya Foundation was awarded with a Certificate of Recognition from the California Legislature Assembly, signed by Assembly Member Marie Waldron, in honor of our One-Year Incorporation Anniversary, "Improving Lives and Serving Worldwide Communities"

On July 28, 2021, the Coronel-Endaya Foundation was bestowed with a Letter of Commendation from United States Senator Dianne Feinstein, for "its tremendous achievements."

The Coronel-Endaya Foundation was nominated in 2021 to the San Diego Business Journal Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Awards under the following categories: “Fundraising Event of the Year” “Nonprofit of the Year,”  “In-Kind Services Provider of the Year” and “Business Angel of the Year”!

September 2021

"40 under 40" is San Diego's premier event honoring outstanding young leaders. Sponsored by SD METRO Magazine, 40 under 40 began in 1999, making this the 22nd consecutive year. Over this period of time 880 of San Diego's most outstanding young people have been honored.

On September 21, 2021, BOTH of the Coronel-Endaya Foundation's Founders, Maria-Kassandra Endaya Coronel, MD & Mia-Kyla Endaya Coronel, BSN, RN, TCRN were nominated, were finalists, and were ultimately winners of the SD METRO Magazine's 22nd Annual 40 under 40 Award under the Class of 2021.

November 2021

The Coronel-Endaya Foundation's Founders, Maria-Kassandra Endaya Coronel, MD & Mia-Kyla Endaya Coronel, BSN, RN, TCRN were nominated for the San Diego Magazine Nonprofit Visionary Award. Dr. Coronel represented them both at the Celebrating Women Awards Ceremony in November 2021. They were honored as outstanding individuals in recognition to the community as women who have made an extraordinary effect and have had an extraordinary impact on others.

March 2022

Both of the Coronel-Endaya Foundation's Founders, Maria-Kassandra Endaya Coronel, MD & Mia-Kyla Endaya Coronel, BSN, RN, TCRN were named Alumni Award Winners of the UCLA Pilipino Alumni Association "Distinguished Community Service Award" during their 30th Anniversary Gala, on March 19, 2022 at the James West Alumni Center, Los Angeles, California, USA, and were recognized as 2022 Distinguished Alumnae.

​

The Park's Finest was awarded with Distinguished Community Group, Devin Mallory as Distinguished Young Alumnus, and Olympic Athlete Kyla Ross as Distinguished Young Alumna.

Barangay Health Worker Training (provided first aid, ALS/BLS, CPR, Wound Care, and Splinting training to local healthcare workers, surf instructors, and Emergency Responders) & Play Therapy Mission (provided play therapy to children severely affected by Typhoon Odette), Siargao Island, Philippines, in partnership with Isla Medical Foundation

Hosted the Inaugural Coronel-Endaya Foundation Scholar Luncheon in Bulacan, Philippines on January 07, 2024. Renewed our scholars' scholarships, complete with certificates, Provided lunch and sorbettos to the scholars and their family members, had a talent show, and gifted each scholar with a foundation t-shirt, a usb hard drive, first-aid kits. Additionally, the foundation provided 100+ lbs of gently used clothing to the village.

invited by the Philippine Consulate General in New York  as  a Filipino American Community Leader to join its 10th Filipino Community General Assembly at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center on January 24, 2024.

Added two new directors to the board (Janelle & Janice Sonsiadek) as heads of marketing.

April 2024

During Filipino Food Month and National Volunteer Week, we Launched the Coronel-Endaya Foundation Community Garden, initiative, aimed to provide sustainable access to food to local villagers in the communities we serve.
